At midnight, Thomas went back to Sterling Technology. He took off his coat, sat on the couch, and rubbed his eyes. Although he had not done anything today, the troubles he experienced still made him feel tired.
Diana, the secretary served him a cup of tea. She put it on the table and gently said, “Mr. Mayo, please drink some tea before you rest.”
“Thank you.”
Thomas picked up the teacup and took a sip.
Diana said, “What happened tonight was really impressive. It was like something from a Hollywood movie. Problems cropped up again and again, and it was so overwhelming. They must have been bombarded with a lot of calls from the advertisers, right?”
