It was almost noon when the racing team arrived at the cemetery where they planned for the interment. The Caspian family had arrived earlier and prepared themselves. The undertakers carried the coffin to the cemetery. Anna had one last look at Ben. She then nodded as a signal of her consent to start the interment.
The undertaker took out the urn, placed it inside the columbarium, and sealed it. Right next to Ben’s columbarium was Scott. From now on, they were “neighbors”. That was a good thing for both of them.
Thomas stood where he could see both the columbarium and looked up at the sky. He finally finished what he had wanted to do. He believed that Ben, watching from somewhere above, will be happy with how things went.
“Uncle Caspian, rest in peace...”
Thomas and Anna knelt in front of Ben’s columbarium and mourned.
