The sun had just risen, and Damian was the first customer in Food and Medicine Hall. Thomas had no idea why, but he was aware of Damian and Fiora's connection, so he brought him in right away and shut the door behind him.
“What brings you here today? ” Thomas asked.
Damian took a deep breath and thought about how he might best explain the situation.
His first sentence was, “The thing is, we ran into trouble when dealing with Elliot.”
Of course, he would not have come to Thomas so early in the morning if he had not gotten into trouble. This was something Thomas had mentally prepared himself for.
