Hound and Luciano were the first to succumb to the pressure. They ran directly to the door of Food and Medicine Hall. Without saying a word, they kneeled down, continuously bowing their heads to admit their mistakes. All of the other men followed their lead, went over, and bowed their heads as well.
Thomas did not make things difficult for them because they already knew what they had done wrong and had apologized since they were merely following someone's order. All of these people eventually regained their freedom and returned to their usual lives.
Only Wyatt was left alone. He was arrogant and unconvinced, but after holding on for another 12 hours, he finally surrendered.
On a sunny morning, Wyatt came to the entrance of Food and Medicine Hall. Both of his eyes were puffy as a result of not sleeping well for several nights. He was constantly under surveillance these days and had broken down.
Wyatt was down on his knees, not even having the strength to cry out, and said with a weak breath, "Mr. Mayo, I know I'm wrong. Please forgive me. I will never dare to vilify the Food and Medicine Hall again."
