“Right, this pudding is really good. I’d like another plate.”
“You’re quite impressive, Thomas. You actually invited Grand Metro Garden’s master chef, which is so cool!”
These fence-sitter classmates were still licking Clayton's stinking boots just before this, but now they were all praising Thomas instead. They had absolutely no thoughts of their own and only listened to those who were more influential. They were unsure how Thomas was able to invite the chef with his eight thousand dollars income, but they were confident that if you can invite a master chef like that, you must be impressive.
Staring at the pudding in front of him, Clayton found it difficult to swallow, and he did not even want to lift his spoon.
