The old scores stemmed from when Halvor initially attacked Grant. Meanwhile, the recent grievance was that Halvor was currently coming to Darsia.
If they were unhappy with Darsia for their own reasons, it would be one thing. They might have personal issues that justified them taking action.
However, they were acting under the heavy pressure from Amelicon, clearly positioning Darsia as a nation they could easily overpower. This belittling from a psychological standpoint was bound to cause deeper resentment.
