At this point, Francis didn't mind providing a bit more explanation. "You could think of it this way, Amez was here to attack Darsia. However, he doesn't want to pay too high a price to gain control of Darsia. If he loses too much in doing so, even if he manages to take over Darsia, he won't have the strength to maintain control over it."

Everyone nodded. This point was quite clear.

Halvor and Silas did not show up, which clearly indicated their strategy, reaping the benefits after the war. In other words, they also had an eye on Darsia's vast lands.

If Amez invested too much effort in Darsia, they wouldn't have a guaranteed win against either of these parties. Therefore, taking direct action against Darsia would be playing right into Silas' and Halvor's hands.
