Gemma thought of something and smiled. "Grandpa, wait for me. I'll be back in a jiffy!"
As she spoke, she ran to a stall to buy some candles before entering the temple. She stood before the temple and prayed sincerely. "Deity, I didn't come here to make a wish. Instead, I'm here to tell you something. Below the mountain, Remus Cosby slandered you! He said he would beat your soul away and that you're ineffective. If you really hear me, you should take action against him. These candles are for you!"
After she placed the candles, she looked into the temple hall. lf there really was a deity, she wished to see Remus beg for mercy.
Just then, the sun shone through the dark clouds and lit up the statue. When Gemma saw it, her smile froze, and her eyes widened. She yelled in horror.
"Gemma!"
