Remus heard Gemma's words and slowly opened his eyes as though in a trance. As he beheld Gemma standing before him, a shiver ran through his body.
He couldn't quite determine if it was the breathtaking scenery, the moonlight, or maybe the wind playing with her tousled hair, but he suddenly found her incredibly beautiful. His heart quickened its pace.
Gemma keenly observed the subtle shifts in his expression, and her heart surged with joy.
She leaned against Remus' chest, her voice growing even softer as she said, "You're the only man I've ever been willing to give everything for, Remus. I truly care for you. Can't we consider being together for the rest of our lives? Please, reconsider going to the Herbal Pavilion."
She tilted her head up. Her large, watery eyes were blinking as she gazed at him.
