As soon as these words were spoken, the atmosphere in Darsia's top office suddenly became tense. It was as if the air itself had solidified, making it hard for everyone to breathe.

Remus and Kaiser met each other's eyes.

Even though it was just a simple sentence, it took on a much more serious tone when it came from Remus. It was filled with probing, suspicion, and perhaps even a touch of irony.
