Hearing this, Husan slowly turned to look at Remus. She wanted to say that she would go, too, but as someone close to Remus, she could tell from Remus' subtle expressions what was really going on.
Saying he would take the beasts with him was just to appease them. There was no way he would actually bring them along.
It was important to empathize with others. They were willing to fight for him, so how could he bear to watch them go to their deaths?
