Remus' heart suddenly sank. Even though he had only spent a few hours with Flip, hearing him say goodbye unexpectedly made him feel a deep sense of sadness.
Maybe it was because Flip had helped him, or perhaps he had found a new understanding of life and death, as well as the separations they brought. It was probably the latter.
In the past, Remus didn't really pay much mind to the concept of life and death, thinking that there would always be another opportunity. However, in the Underworld, death was permanent, and the idea of "Goodbye" meant never being able to meet again.
Remus suddenly chuckled and reached out to pat Flip on the head. Despite Flip's 300 years of training, it was still considered a child within its species.
He said, "If I get the chance, I will definitely come back to see you. However, it's not time to say goodbye yet. There's still something I need to do."
