Back on the Island of the Monarch, Remus let out a whimper, slowly opening his eyes.
"Remus, are you awake? How do you feel?" Eva asked beside him with a face full of concern.
Remus looked at her and the surroundings and realized he was no longer in that thatched hut, but instead on the bed in Husan's room. He forced a smile and said, "I'm alright now..."
But in truth, he was still in pain, which was also the cause of the whimpering. Telling Eva that he was fine was just to prevent her from worrying.
Upon seeing his smile, Eva's emotions got the best of her. She broke down, leaned on him, and cried, "You scared me to death. How can I live without you? Please stop trying to cure yourself, Remus. Can we just leave it as it is? Please stop hurting yourself. I beg you!"
