The journey to Centuria was much slower than before. Remus would sometimes even find himself staring into space in the air, or coming to a complete stop.
The reason was simple, he didn't know how to face them. In the past, no matter where he went, he felt a certain confidence because, at the very least, he had the Black Talisman given by Roman.
This time, it was completely different since he didn't have a backup plan like that anymore. Aside from that, the level of danger was unmatched by anything before.
If he failed, he would truly fade away and would never see them again. But, it still had to be done.
Leaving aside his duty to humanity, the fact that his parents were suffering in the Upper Realms made it impossible for him to live in hiding. So, this really was goodbye.
