Remus' words left Lance and Egbert feeling choked, and they almost suffocated.

Their original strategy was to have Garfield focus on Remus, but now, all the complications seemed to be converging on them. Most frustratingly, they found themselves unable to counter his claims.

Garfield suddenly turned his head toward the two, his eyes filled with rage, and questioned, "Did you do this on purpose?"

"No!" Lance blurted out and rushed to explain, "Master Warner, how could we possibly have planned such a deliberate scheme? I beg you not to be swayed by that bastard's words. You mustn't believe a single word he utters!"

Egbert's expression turned pale with fear and added. "Master Warner, this bastard is extremely cunning. You must see through his lies. He's trying to set you against the Herbal Pavilion!"
