Ruby descended quickly to the ground, her feet shattering the stone surface upon impact, causing the entire Monarch Palace to tremble. She then swiftly transformed into her human form and rushed into Remus' arms.
She cried so hard she could barely speak. "I knew you would be okay! You really scared me, you know? I've been looking for you for so many days, hoping you would show up again! I've searched everywhere in Darsia, but I still can't find you. What am I supposed to do if something happened to you?"
Her sobbing grew louder, her tears soaking the front of Remus' shirt.
Remus felt tense all over. Being hugged didn't bother him at first as it was like meeting an old friend. But after hearing what Ruby said, he felt a mix of emotions.
He wasn't clueless and could of course understand Ruby's feelings. It had passed the Divine Separation Stage and entered the Divine Unity Stage, and he even named it Ruby. It was nearly indistinguishable from a human and even possessed human emotions. But from Remus' perspective, Ruby was still just a pheasant.
