Remus didn‘t leave immediately. Instead, he hovered high above, watching the Cosby residence.
The reason he didn't appear in front of the women was not because he could easily walk away, but rather because he couldn't bear the pain of saying goodbye. Even though the women couldn't see him, he could clearly see each of them, noticing every expression on their faces.
Remus' eyes were also filled with tears. After all, he couldn't be sure if this was his last time seeing them.
Silently, he thought that if he didn't disappear into nothingness in the end, he would still be by their side.
When he saw the women leaving the courtyard and entering their respective rooms, he finally looked away and took a deep breath, forcing himself to gather his energy.
