Remus subconsciously looked over. He noticed a mark on his wrist, a snowflake pattern left by Wilda. He had ignored it before the battle but now recognized its significance.
Gabriela sniffed again, and her body suddenly tensed. She asked, "This scent, it's distinctly feminine. Did a woman leave this?"
She stood abruptly, pushing Remus away in anger. "Remus, you swore you weren't seeking out women. And now you have a woman's tattoo?"
Remus was totally unprepared. He was pushed off the bed by her and hastily said, "Gabriela, let me explain, this is..."
"Shut up!" Gabriela leaped from the bed, her anger palpable. "The evidence is right before us! Do you dare to argue? You scumbag! I finally understand what it means to rather believe in ghosts than trust a man's broken mouth!"
