Mortals were defined by their physical bodies, so their specters weren‘t seen, and they lived in the Mortal Realm. Meanwhile, demons were defined by their specters, so they lived in the Underworld since their physical bodies rarely mattered.

But it seemed that Candace was transforming, with her body becoming more dominant. The energy from her physical body started to overshadow her specter, and she was on the verge of becoming purely human. The scorching heat that Remus felt was what people commonly refer to as radiant energy.

Candace didn't respond, keeping her eyes fixed intently on Remus.

Remus furrowed his brow. "Could I have misunderstood earlier? The icy and fiery energies within you are not a battle between you and the Demon Lord for control of your body, but rather a struggle between your physical body and specter for dominance?"
