"Felix, your name is lovely." Charlie remarked casually as he gently pinched the kitten's chin.
The kitten was quite well-behaved, allowing him to play with it while keeping its eyes half-closed and head slightly elevated.
Charlie was somewhat surprised. "This kitten is remarkably bold and not afraid of people at all."
Maria smiled and nodded in agreement. "Felix is friendlier towards humans than typical stray cats. Perhaps he has been bullied by other cats, so he finds humans more trustworthy."
She then glanced at Charlie's handsome face, observing his lowered eyebrows, and thought to herself, "If he knew that his mother was still alive, he would be thrilled, wouldn’t he? For twenty years, he has believed that his loved ones were gone, not realizing that his mother is alive. Nothing could be more comforting than that."
