The emergency treatment continued through to dawn the next day.
The individual whose heart had stopped was finally stabilized, and the others were in a considerably better condition.
The doctor had intended for them to remain for observation, but they took it lightly. For them, dealing with drug overdoses wasn't a first or even a second occurrence. Even with illegal substances, overdoses had become a routine issue. So, Hank and the others completed the discharge process early that morning.
Although the rescued individual was still somewhat weak, he insisted on leaving the hospital. After all, his life was no longer at risk. For them, remaining in the hospital seemed pointless and posed a greater likelihood of exposure.
Once outside the hospital, Hank addressed the group, saying, "Don't you all find something odd about this situation?"
