Hannah's blood boiled as she watched Elaine. Her anger reached a boiling point, and she couldn't hold back her rage any longer.
"You've got some nerve, Elaine," Hannah shouted, her voice shaking with fury. "If you don't come down from there right now, I'll come up and throw you off the balcony myself. And if I don't kill you, then may I never take another breath!"
Elaine's face twisted into a look of disdain.
"Oh, Hannah, you're all bark and no bite," she said, her voice dripping with contempt. "You're nothing but a heartless opportunist who's willing to do anything for a quick buck. But let me remind you, trespassing on private property is a criminal offense. If you're feeling brave enough to come up here, go ahead and try it. Just be prepared for the consequences, because I won't hesitate to call the police on you."
As Elaine taunted her with talk of the law and police, Hannah felt her confidence waver.
