The Lady then continued, “Lord Morvel was a Master Physician in high school when he was young and he was an official in the court. But, later he resigned from the official position because he got the opportunity to practice by chance and came here with his wife and children to devote himself to practice. Unfortunately, his wife and son soon died one after another due to infection of wind and cold and he was the only one left to continue practicing.”
Charlie was a little surprised hearing the story and said, “In 755 AD, the Lord Morvel was already in his nineties…”
“Yes,” The Lady replied, ”But according to my ancestor’s recollection, when he met Heavenly Lord Morvel in 756 AD, Lord Morvel looked just like he does in the painting, not at all like an old man who was nearly a hundred years old.”
Charlie looked at the painting again and couldn’t help but marvel in his heart.
The old man in this painting was skinny but strong in spirit. At that time, the average life expectancy was no more than fifty years and the old man in his fifties should look older than the old man in his 70s and 80s now.
