Hannah waved her hand dismissively and said, "Forget it, you're just an old, narrow-minded woman who can't stand seeing others do better than you. I'm not wasting my time talking to you. Goodbye."
With that, she stepped on the gas pedal and roared off in her Mercedes, leaving Elaine and Claire behind.
Elaine was shaking with anger, gritting her teeth and cursing, "Damn it, how dare she talk to me like that? She must have found some way to turn her luck around."
Claire shrugged and said, "It's good if Auntie has a chance to improve her circumstances. Their family was really struggling before. I heard that Uncle and Cousin have been bedridden and can't take care of themselves, and Grandma is getting on in years. It's a good thing they have some money now, it'll make their lives a lot easier."
Elaine snarled, "I'll tell you this, Claire, anyone else in this world can do well, but not that family. They just can't catch a break."
