Its whole body was naked. Its skin was a strange gray-black, covered in dense cracks, and inside those cracks, a dark red glow moved faintly. Its skull had already warped out of shape. Its features were twisted, and its mouth split all the way to its ears, exposing a row of jagged fangs.
Its hands were worse. The nails were long as blades, and they flashed with a cold sheen. The strangest part was its eyes. They were hollow and empty, with no whites and no pupils, only a dead black darkness.
"W-What is that thing?!" Evelyn cried out.
Jared's gaze stayed on the creature, and a trace of weight passed through his eyes. He could feel two completely different auras coming from it.
One was sacred, pure and imposing. That was the aura of the celestials. The other was evil, cold and violent. That was the aura of the demon. Those two auras should have clashed like fire and water, yet somehow they had fused together inside this thing, forming a twisted existence that made the skin crawl.
