The cold metal on his skin made Kayden’s hair stand on end. He was utterly terrified. If Jared were to move even an inch, his head would be displaced from his neck.
Trembling in fear, Kayden threatened, “J-Jared, do not, do not act rashly. If you kill me, my dad will never let you off the hook.”
When Lamar saw that his son had fallen into Jared’s hands, he broke out in a cold sweat and roared, “Jared, let my son go! Otherwise, I’ll make sure you die a painful death!”
“Still threatening me when you’re already on your deathbed?”
With a sneer, Jared raised the Dragonslayer Sword and was about to swing it onto Kayden’s neck.
