As Jared glanced at Gael, who was heartily laughing, a hint of nervousness crept into his voice.

"No! There's no way I'd even think about plotting against my dear son-in-law," Gael replied with a laugh.

"Son-in-law?" Taken aback, Jared quickly waved his hands and said, "Mr. Ortiz, please don't misunderstand. There's really nothing between me and Juliet."
