A flash of white light streaked across, and to Jared's surprise, he found himself regaining control over his body once again. And there it was, the soul remnant of Vermilion Demon Lord, returning to the consciousness field and looking around in utter confusion.

The Golden Tome had sensed Jared's peril, hence it forcibly drove back the soul remnant of Vermilion Demon Lord, enabling Jared to regain control over his body.
