“Father, did he vanquish your demonic soul?” she asked.

“Of course it was him. If I could get rid of it myself, don’t you think I would have done it a long time ago? You really are something, you know. In the future, when something major like this happens, you must let me know first,” Gael grumbled.

“Something major?” Juliet was even more bewildered.

She thought Gael was referring to her bringing Jared to see him, so she lowered her head and said, “Father, I understand. I won’t do it again in the future…”
