Thinking that Jared had escaped, Josephine heaved a sigh of relief but grew anxious immediately upon seeing him return.
“Jared, just go. Leave me. They won’t dare kill me!” Her pleas were never going to be obeyed by Jared.
“Josephine, I’ll definitely get you out of there today!”
No sooner had he spoken than he stepped forward to pry open the steel bars of the cage with brute strength.
Before he could break them, a ray of light suddenly shot out of the ground, engulfing both Jared and Josephine within it.
