On the plane, Astrid asked Jared in a teasing tone, “Jared, why didn't you stay behind to be a consort? The entire castle would soon belong to you.”

After hearing Astrid's words, the rest of the girls turned to look at Jared.

“Jared, were you not the least bit tempted to stay when the duke asked you to?” Millie asked.

Renee laughed and poked fun of Jared. “I guess it's because Jared's embarrassed to accept since all of us are here. If not. he would certainly have stayed behind to be a consort. After all. Anne is a princess.”

“What do you children know? How can I sacrifice a forest for a tree?” Jared looked at the group of girls while he was speaking.
