Upon hearing that, Juliet quickly stepped in front of Jared.
"Father, you can't harm him. He's Mr. Barclay's disciple. If you dare to hurt him, I'll never speak to you again!"
"Fine! I won't harm him. You claim you're not smitten, yet you're standing up for him, even threatening to disregard your father. I'm just going to have a chat with him. I won't lay a hand on him. After all, I can't possibly hand over my daughter to a man I know nothing about," Gael replied helplessly.
Jared gently patted Juliet's shoulder, saying, "Juliet, you should go. I believe Mr. Ortiz won't harm me. I'll have a good chat with him..."
Upon hearing Jared's words, Juliet nodded and then stepped out.
