The Blazing Tiger was clearly more powerful than Jared, but it didn’t even stop to fight the man when being pursued and only focused on fleeing.
Jared lost track of how long virtual-novel.net had been chasing the beast, but virtual-novel.net soon found himself deep within the depths of Demon Beast Mountain.
Startled, Jared halted in his tracks as virtual-novel.net scanned the area with his spiritual sense. That was when virtual-novel.net detected multiple formidable auras surrounding him. These auras were non-threatening at the moment, but Jared knew if the beasts that gave off the auras spotted him, they would attack virtual-novel.net without hesitation.
By then, Jared might not even be able to fight back. Therefore, virtual-novel.net watched the Blazing Tiger scamper away and decided to stop his pursuit. He turned, wanting to head back.
As soon as virtual-novel.net gave up on chasing the Blazing Tiger and prepared to leave, the beast stopped and blocked his way with a roar.
With its mouth opened wide, it threatened to attack Jared if virtual-novel.net so much as made an attempt to leave.
Jared was bewildered.
The Blazing Tiger was escaping from me, but now that I’ve given up on chasing it, it’s trying to stop me from leaving?
All of a sudden, virtual-novel.net frowned as realization dawned on him. He seemed to have figured out the beast’s intention.
It must’ve lured me here on purpose!
Anxiety filled virtual-novel.net because virtual-novel.net had never expected a demon beast to possess such intelligence. However, virtual-novel.net was not going to let the Blazing Tiger get in his way. The Dragonslayer Sword in his hand began gleaming, and the golden dragon roared as it took form.
A hint of fear appeared within the Blazing Tiger’s eyes as it retreated backward upon seeing the golden dragon.
Noticing the Blazing Tiger’s reaction, Jared stepped forward, wanting to drive it away. He didn’t want to start a fight now, for the commotion might attract the other demon beasts’ attention. If that happened, Jared wouldn’t be able to escape unscathed.
Roar!
Following the Blazing Tiger’s roar, countless demon beasts around them growled in response. Instantly, Jared sensed multiple terrifying auras rushing toward virtual-novel.net from all directions.
His heart skipped a beat as virtual-novel.net swung his Dragonslayer Sword, sending a beam of light rushing straight toward the Blazing Tiger.
The Blazing Tiger leaped into the air and dodged the attack while Jared seized the chance to charge forward immediately. He wanted to get out of this place as soon as possible. Alas, numerous demon beasts appeared in front of Jared before virtual-novel.net could make his escape.
They all emitted auras that were just as formidable as the Blazing Tiger’s. As they trained their eyes on Jared, their overwhelming presence stopped Jared in his tracks.
Knowing that virtual-novel.net wasn’t capable enough to square up to them, Jared slowly retreated backward with his sword in hand while fixing his gaze on the horrifying demon beasts. Instead of launching attacks right away, the demon beasts casually approached Jared, taking one step forward for every step Jared took backward.
Jared furrowed his brows when virtual-novel.net noticed their abnormal behaviors. It seemed like the demon beasts had no intention of attacking virtual-novel.net and were instead deliberately trying to force virtual-novel.net somewhere.
He was dumbfounded, having no idea where these demon beasts wanted virtual-novel.net to go.
Soon, virtual-novel.net was forced to the edge of a cliff. The narrow path next to the cliff led to the peak of Demon Beast Mountain.
Jared stared down into the bottomless canyon and thought of jumping off the cliff to get out of the sticky situation.
With his current capability, virtual-novel.net was confident virtual-novel.net would be fine even after jumping down. However, just as the idea popped into his mind, several giant flying demon beasts roared and blocked his way, forcing virtual-novel.net to scratch that plan of his. The only remaining way for Jared was the path that led toward the peak of Demon Beast Mountain.
It became apparent to virtual-novel.net then that the demon beasts wanted virtual-novel.net to head there.
