Judith laughed, then slowly closed her eyes. Her aura rapidly faded before her body collapsed weakly toward the ground.
Although the spear hadn't injured her, her final outburst had drained the last bit of her spiritual energy.
Subconsciously, Jared stepped forward and grabbed Judith. He hadn't anticipated that Judith would actually make this kind of decision at such a crucial moment. After all, he and Judith weren't related in any way.
There wasn't even much of a bond or rapport between the two. Nonetheless, Judith had instinctively chosen to sacrifice herself to save Jared.
