The corner of Arianne’s lips twitched. Sure, pregnancy could dull a woman’s wits for at least up to two years after childbirth, but in Tiffany’s case? She was probably slated to be this dense for at least six years. How did Tiffany miss Melanie‘s obvious act of flaunting her relationship? How the heck did the girl listen to that and think Melanie was genuinely complaining about Alejandro being “miserly?”

Melanie, however, was very amused. “Well, maybe he’s always been a big, fat cheapskate this whole time! Tee hee,” she joked. “Anyway, we should probably start placing orders. Remember to tailor our dishes according to Lady Tiffany’s preferences, girls. Among a bevy of women, the pregnant one is queen.”

Arianne could not stop herself from sharing about her woes with Shelly while the women dined. “So, girls, why do you think Mark’s so... against telling me things? Tiffany waved dismissively. “Girl, banning you from meeting her is a blessing, okay? You worked your burn off caring for that broad back when she was in the hospital for an entire month, but guess what happened? That’s right. She didn’t give a flying crap about how nice you were. So why so desperate to curry her favor, huh? Just see this as a way to keep your positive vibes with you, hon; it’s not like that shrew’s got no one taking care of her in your stead. And also, who cares if those two got secrets they don’t want you to know about? As long as those secrets aren’t causing your troubles, why bother? That’s just so extra. Remember, ignorance is bliss.
