Her level of disappointment surprised her. Why should she be feeling disappointed? She shouldn’t be holding out on hope in the first place. She should continue on as she always had, stay close yet keep a distance at the same time, right?
At lunchtime, a distinctive figure appeared at the office entrance. The employees who had been preparing to go out for lunch, stopped in their footsteps and gawked. This was because Mark was too attractive. Most importantly, he was holding an exquisite thermal lunch box.
The new company mostly consisted of new staff. Most of them had never seen Mark, so they were making guesses at whose “noble husband” he was. When he arrived at Arianne’s desk, everyone finally came to their senses, sighed and slowly dispersed.
“What are you doing here?” Arianne’s current mood could be described as shock at this point.
“Lunch time,” he did not say too much, and opened up the thermal lunch box. Then, he pushed a fork and knife into her hands. The thermal lunch box was packed with stew, grilled chicken and vegetables. The very sight of them would make anyone salivate with hunger.
