Aristotle sensed her emotions and asked innocently, “Mommie, are you sad ‘cos of Gwamma?”
Arianne pursed her lips into a smile. “Not really. You have no idea how many problems I have. It’s much better to stay at your age, you don’t have to worry about a thing. Grown-ups have way too many problems...”
Aristotle tried to touch her head, imitating Mark. He wasn’t tall enough, so Arianne had to help him out and squat down.
His actions warmed Arianne’s heart. “Smore, I’m happy as long as I have you, there’s nothing I can’t overcome. I have confidence again.”
Suddenly, Mark pushed open the door and entered the room. “Did you have a big fight with your mom? Aery’s been kidnapped, so she must be worried sick. Don’t mind her.”
