By the time he arrived back at the Tremont Estate, it was already growing dark.
Arianne knew that Mark would be coming home today, so she asked Mary to prepare a sumptuous dinner beforehand.
“Are you okay with selling off Wynn Mansion?” Mark suddenly asked during dinner.
“I had no choice, we were short on cash back then,” Arianne replied casually. “Besides, you put a lot of money into the renovations. It’s fine. No one was going to live in it anyway, and we would’ve had to spend money on its maintenance.”
Mark knew that deep down, she felt differently. She must’ve wanted to keep Wynn Mansion, but it wouldn’t be easy to get it back, now that it was sold.
