It seemed like no one was able to get a good night’s sleep that night, especially Jackson, who wasn’t able to sleep at all without Tiffany by his side.
The next morning, he had thought that Tiffany had returned home when he heard someone knocking on the door. He raised his spirits slightly and opened the door, only to realize that it was Summer. A hint of disappointment flashed through his eyes. “Why are you here?”
Summer had brought with her some nutritional products for pregnant women. Her face was glowing, and she looked rather happy. “Of course I’m here to see my daughter-in-law and my grandson. Where’s Tiffany? Is she not up yet? The two of you haven’t come to visit this weekend, so I could only come to you instead.”
Could this be an unlucky streak? Just when Tiffany wasn’t around, Summer had appeared. Jackson was a little depressed as he said, “She’s... not around. She’s at Arianne’s.”
Summer knew that something was wrong through Jackson’s facial expression and weak tone. “Have you two gotten into a fight? Tiffany hasn’t been home the entire night? Jacky, you really are asking for it. How could you argue with a pregnant lady? You’re a man, don’t you understand such an easy concept? Hurry up and bring her back now.”
