Arianne walked toward Janice’s desk and rapped her knuckles on the table. “You’re dismissed.”
Janice lifted her head and looked at Arianne in confusion. “Excuse me? What did you say, Mrs. Tremont?”
Arianne repeated herself. “I said, you’re dismissed. You’re fired so there’s no need for you to return.”
Janice’s face paled immediately as a hint of confusion flashed in her eyes. “Why?!”
Arianne cocked an eyebrow and said, “Are you sure you want me to reveal the reason in front of so many people? I suggest you leave without asking too many questions to preserve your dignity. I’m telling you this as a courtesy since we’re both women.”
