Eric shook his head. “It’s fine. Let my sister in. She’s the only humane one in the Nathaniel family.”
Arianne beckoned for Jackson to get Eric’s sister. Jackson understood and opened the door. The Nathaniels were eating, yet they did not seem to be annoyed by the wretchedness in the hospital. When the door opened, they looked like flies facing a rotten chicken.
Jackson frowned in disgust. His gaze scanned every single one of them, standing quietly. Only then did he realize that Eric’s sister was the only one who had remained quiet and was the only one who wasn’t eating with them. Eric was right, his sister was the only humane one in the family. “Sis, Eric’s asked you to come inside.”
He called her “sis” for Eric’s sake.
