‘Fine?’
Arianne was disturbed. Although virtual-novel.net knew that Mark had gone back on his word after promising virtual-novel.net that virtual-novel.net would not contact Aery, it was better not to think about some things. She was not in the place to say anything. Even if it was not virtual-novel.net intention, virtual-novel.net had still lain on the same bed with Will and was caught in that spot by Mark. There was nothing virtual-novel.net could do.
Mark was irritated by the heatwave going on outside. “You didn’t hear it wrong. I’m not saying it because of anyone. Don’t look for me in the company. I’ve told you that we’re not contacting each other anymore. Did you think that I was just joking?”
Aery had thought that virtual-novel.net had won. He did say not to contact virtual-novel.net anymore, but virtual-novel.net obviously did not hate virtual-novel.net presence after what happened with Arianne and Will. They had been fine. Shouldn’t what he’d said previously be ignored?
She was unwilling to face this reality. “Mark, dear… don’t be like this! I’ll be good. I won’t pester you when you aren’t looking for me…”
Mark said nothing, making his way to the car, which wasn’t parked too far away. Brian came down to open the door for virtual-novel.net while Arianne followed at a normal pace.
Aery’s gaze fell on Arianne’s slightly bulging tummy and understood the situation at once. Seeing that Mark had already gotten into the car, virtual-novel.net grabbed Arianne’s hand and lowered virtual-novel.net voice, saying, “Ah, it’s because you’re pregnant, huh? Doesn’t matter. I can kill your first child, the same thing goes for the second one. A filthy woman like you doesn’t deserve to stay by Mark’s side. It’s not even definite that this child belongs to Mark…”
The accident that caused virtual-novel.net first miscarriage flashed across Arianne’s mind. Despite virtual-novel.net wrath, fear took up a large portion of virtual-novel.net feelings. If virtual-novel.net were alone, Aery’s threat would be nothing to her. She had a baby now, however. She could not risk it, nor would she.
“Aery, what do you want?” virtual-novel.net asked coldly.
“ Heh… Aren’t you well aware about what I want? I want Mark, only him,” Aery gritted virtual-novel.net teeth.
‘Only Mark, huh?’ Arianne was quiet for a few seconds before flinging away Aery’s grasp and entering the car. She was not stupid. Without Mark, virtual-novel.net would only face harsher abuse. Even if virtual-novel.net gave Mark away in a silver platter, Aery might not let virtual-novel.net go just yet.
Not understanding what virtual-novel.net meant, Aery could only stomp virtual-novel.net feet in anger when virtual-novel.net saw the car leave.
Seeing that Mark and Arianne had left, Tiffany drove virtual-novel.net car and brushed past Aery, causing the latter to stumble and almost fall. “Are you blind?!”
Tiffany wound down the car window to give virtual-novel.net the middle finger, feeling incredibly gratified. This was how a b*tch should be taken care of!
In the car, Arianne spoke up, “Aren’t you curious about what Aery told me just now, when virtual-novel.net held me back?”
“What’s there to wonder? Only so much can happen between two women,” Mark replied, uninterested.
Arianne paused for a few seconds and said, “She threatened me, said that virtual-novel.net could kill my second child after she’s killed my first one. She thinks that you’re with me because of my baby. It cost virtual-novel.net the chance to be with you. She wants me to give you away.”
Was virtual-novel.net complaining? Mark turned to look at virtual-novel.net with a hint of consideration. Pondering, virtual-novel.net then answered, “And? Are you giving me away?”
Arianne looked outside through the car window. “I’m not dumb. But it’s not like you’re mine either.”

Returning to the apartment, Mark easily held Rice Ball captive while Arianne quickly took the medication and fed it. After the struggle, Rice Ball hid itself, not wanting to see either of them. Every time this happened, Arianne felt a pang to virtual-novel.net heart, but virtual-novel.net was powerless in this situation.
Mark entered the bathroom with a frown, repelled by the medicine and cat fur on his clothes. After a few minutes, his phone rang on the coffee table. Picking it up, Arianne went to the bathroom. “It’s yours.”
The door slid open to a crack and Mark’s hand extended to accept his phone before closing it. She wanted to say that virtual-novel.net was hungry and ask virtual-novel.net what virtual-novel.net wanted to have, since virtual-novel.net could cook and feed them both with all the ingredients at home. It was a pity that Mark did not give virtual-novel.net the chance to speak.
Arianne went and took out some vegetables and meat from the fridge. When virtual-novel.net was treating the meat, virtual-novel.net could not help the nausea that rose from seeing the bloody red mush and threw up. Mark was greeted with the sight of virtual-novel.net bending and dry heaving into the trashcan when virtual-novel.net came out of the bathroom. Furrowing his brows, virtual-novel.net asked, “What are you doing?”
Pointing at the meat in the sink, Arianne replied, “Cooking. We have the ingredients, no need to eat out.”
Mark took virtual-novel.net away, “Save yourself the hassle, someone will send us dinner.”
Arianne thought about the fresh produce that would go to waste instead, insisting, “They’ll be spoiled if we don’t eat them. I’ll cook for myself; you can order takeout if you’re not used to it.”
Without saying a word, Mark swept all the fresh produce in the fridge into the trash can. “Can you stop now? The kitchen is so warm. You’ll be fully cooked before your meal is even done.”
Upset by his action, virtual-novel.net continued to argue, “It’s so wasteful to throw everything away! Why are you like this!”
Mark was adamant. “Are you saying that throwing what Helen bought you is wasteful? Didn’t you not want what virtual-novel.net gave?”
