Jackson let out a sigh of relief, but felt guilty at the same time. He never expected for things to turn out so serious when he brought her here. At the time, he simply received a call from that woman, saying that she had something important to tell him. He didn’t look too much into it but was afraid that Summer would find out about his past and nag him endlessly. So, he decided to come here, under the pretense that Mark needed his help at the company and set up a meeting with that woman in this city. Then, he brought Tiffany along to have fun with Arianne and cheer her up.

He did not expect for this matter to spiral out of control. His emotional state fell into ruins when he discovered the child. He had just had a meeting with this woman today during the day and had gone to get tested first. He avoided contacting Tiffany because he was afraid that it would seem too obvious and that she would figure it out.

The next day, Tiffany relayed her “discovery” from last night to Arianne when she arrived at the café, “Someone sent a message to Jackson yesterday, in the middle of the night. I thought that it was from one of his old girlfriends, and I told myself that I was going to kill him if he was still in touch with those women. Turns out, it was just an innocent apology from Lynn. He really scared me.”

Arianne had already found out about this through Mark Of course, she wasn’t going to say anything, as this could only be solved once they had received the results. The best way to deal with this now was to play by ear. However, the sight of Tiffany’s guileless and ignorant expression still made her uncomfortable, so she avoided the subject, “Thank goodness it’s a misunderstanding... Do you and Jackson have any plans today? You’re welcome to go out and have fun if you like, I can take care of things on my own here.”

Tiffany was feeling slightly pleased with herself, “We’re not going on. He’s said that he would keep me company here, but he’s going to be late. He should be here soon, and you can relax a little then.”
