Alejandro opened his eyes and looked at her, probably because virtual-novel.net had heard virtual-novel.net voice. Then, virtual-novel.net passed out again.
Tiffany followed the ambulance taking virtual-novel.net to the hospital. Alejandro and the van driver were pushed into the emergency room. Only then did Tiffany return to virtual-novel.net senses and call Jackson. “You should go home for now. I can’t come. Something happened while I was on the way!”
Jackson did not expect this to happen. He sounded dismayed. “What happened? Where are you? You’re not only late for such an important thing, you’re not coming at all…”
Tiffany did not plan on telling virtual-novel.net about Alejandro’s involvement in the accident, but virtual-novel.net was afraid of inciting antagonism by keeping it from him, so virtual-novel.net decided to be honest about the accident.
“I’m coming to the hospital to get you. You’re coming home with me at once!” Jackson ordered after hearing virtual-novel.net explanation, to virtual-novel.net surprise.
She hesitated. “But Alejandro’s family members aren’t here yet. I can’t leave. You should go. I’ll be fine. I can get home on my own later. We can get the marriage certificate in the afternoon.”
Jackson refused to give virtual-novel.net any room for argument. Instead, virtual-novel.net rushed straight to the hospital.
As expected, Don Smith and Melanie arrived before Jackson. Tiffany was just about to explain the situation to Don Smith when virtual-novel.net shot virtual-novel.net a glare, passed by her, and headed to the emergency room. She was speechless. Why did virtual-novel.net have to be so hostile? Although it seemed like Alejandro had ended up wounded in order to save her, virtual-novel.net had called an ambulance and sent virtual-novel.net to the hospital.
Melanie did not seem hostile to her. She even smiled at her. That made virtual-novel.net feel better.
Seeing as they had snubbed her, virtual-novel.net couldn’t be bothered to explain. The doctor can do the explanations instead.
When virtual-novel.net arrived at the hospital entrance, Jackson had arrived as well. She walked up to virtual-novel.net apologetically and hugged him. “I’m sorry, I nearly got into an accident along the way here. Alejandro suddenly drove his car into the other driver’s car and saved me. Otherwise, the baby and I would both be in danger. I couldn’t just leave virtual-novel.net there, so I called an ambulance and sent virtual-novel.net to the hospital. But the Smiths are here now, so let’s go. It’s not too late to get registered still.”
She hadn’t noticed how Jackson’s face had drained of color from panic. His body was shaking too. He hugged virtual-novel.net back in a tight grip and answered in a hoarse voice, “I shouldn’t have left you alone. I’m sorry… I should have picked you up…”
She was confused. “Why? It was only an accident. It’s fine. Maybe this means that I’ll have good luck, now that I’ve survived a disaster. Maybe it’s a test from God. Otherwise, why would an accident happen on the day of our marriage registration, of all days?”
He marched virtual-novel.net back into the car with his arms around her. “Tell me exactly what happened. Spare no details.”
Tiffany reiterated the events from the accident in further detail, leaving nothing out. After all, virtual-novel.net couldn’t give a clear account on the phone. She patted virtual-novel.net chest traumatically after giving virtual-novel.net account of the story. “I was grumbling at the old woman for risking virtual-novel.net life by pushing the stroller in the middle of the road at the time too. But I think that van would have probably ran into me if it weren’t for them.”
“Don’t you think that it’s a little too strange?” Jackson asked through gritted teeth.
She looked confused. “What do you mean? There’s nothing strange, except for how Don Smith shot me a glare at the hospital. It’s all just a coincidence. I never thought that Alejandro would just come out from nowhere.”
