Tiffany’s mind was full of questions as she asked, “Wait, you’re... Jackson West’s mother? It’s nice to meet you, Mrs. West. I am acquainted with him. He’s my boss, and a friend of my friend’s husband. However... I’m not too certain of the situation.”

Mrs. West pulled out a document that was filled with words from her back. “I can’t be bothered to explain this to you. Look at it yourself. This is all the information I’ve been given.”

Tiffany was sweating. She took the file and read it thoroughly, her gaze became increasingly stern. The document described everything clearly, from Jackson’s violent beating against Ken in White Water Bay Café to everything that happened after that. She had mixed feelings about this. So, Jackson had attacked someone because of her? And he ended up suffering retaliation for it too...

“I’m sorry, Mrs. West... I never meant for it to turn out this way... I didn’t even know why he attacked that man. Which hospital is he in? I’ll pay him a visit,” she said, summoning up her courage.

“A visit? You’re going to conclude this after one visit? You’re the one who caused Jackson to break off his engagement, aren’t you? Why are you acting as if it has nothing to do with you? It doesn't matter if your social status is unmatched, as long as my son likes you. You don’t have to feel pressured. From now on, you'll go to the hospital and take care of him.
