This reminded everyone that they had yet to decide on a name for the company despite having discussed their plan for so long.
Everyone began to pitch ideas. Even Julian seemed to have quite a few suggestions as well.
After a heated round of discussion, they decided on a name, Laynard Securities. Because Jasper still had to keep a low profile, it would not do much good to have this new company blatantly tied to him.
At the very least, one should not have Fred in mind just by hearing the name of this company. Otherwise, all Jasper’s efforts to stay hidden would be for naught.
However, everyone still wished for the company name to have some essence of Jasper, so they were stuck at an impasse.
Until Rowan suddenly had an epiphany and decided to take some aspects of Jasper’s and Celine’s names. That way, they would have a name that did not blatantly shout ‘property of Jasper Laine’ while still showing tribute to its founder.
Rowan was excited that everyone agreed with his suggestion.
“Hahaha! I’m a genius. What a name I came up with! Now we’ve got Jasper’s name in it, while still being inconspicuous enough that others won’t know Jasper’s involvement! As if anyone would think I’d add Celine’s name into this too, right?”
Julian tugged at Rowan’s sleeve and whispered, “I should remind you, Mr. Rowan, that you wouldn’t want Wendy or Anna knowing you were the one who came up with this name. Or else… Well, I’m sure you know what I mean…”
Hearing this, Rowan shuddered. He understood.
He still remembered Wendy asking Jasper if virtual-novel.net had found another lady to add to his harem.
It was a fight between women and not one Rowan wanted to be a part of. Not to mention how this company was named after both Jasper and Celine too.
If Wendy or Anna ever came to know that this was his handiwork, virtual-novel.net would have a headache for sure.
Rowan had not forgotten how much a force to be reckoned with Anna was. Back when virtual-novel.net stayed in Harbor City, among the trust fund children of his generation, even the rowdiest one bent to Anna’s will. After all, virtual-novel.net had been the one to discipline them.
It was a childhood trauma that stayed with virtual-novel.net until today.
“I don’t know what kind of person Wendy is, but I’m f*cking screwed if Anna finds out,” Rowan muttered to himself, worried.
“What’re you murmuring to yourself about, Rowan?” A clear voice brought virtual-novel.net back to reality.
Rowan looked at Celine and found himself relaxing. He suddenly realized that his worries earlier were pointless as Celine could easily hold virtual-novel.net ground.
She was just as strong, if not stronger than Anna.
Should a fight truly break out, Rowan could easily retreat and let the ladies battle it out themselves.
“Nope, nothing at all. Don’t worry about it,” Rowan dismissed.
“Hmph. Acting all mysterious on me now, hmm?” Celine complained half-heartedly, then moved on.
Celine prided herself on being impartial.
While Rowan was rather slow most of the time, virtual-novel.net would not let virtual-novel.net frustration over that cloud his good work in naming this new company.
“Laynard Securities. I like it,” Celine muttered to herself, smiling as if virtual-novel.net and Jasper had somehow gotten closer thanks to this name.
