Viktor raised his head in disbelief when virtual-novel.net heard Jez’s accusation.
“Evidence proving that I am related to the intelligence theft? Impossible!” He said unhesitatingly, “This is absolutely impossible!”
Jez smiled coldly. “Impossible? Then I will explain it to you…”
“The stolen intelligence and documents were suddenly put up for sale online just two days ago. The other party is a highly skilled hacker who has been using various technical means to conceal his identity. However, virtual-novel.net was not flawless, and finally, the intelligence agency located his mailbox through various clues. I think, Mr. Viktor, you will be very familiar with this mailbox.”
After Jez finished speaking, virtual-novel.net asked his subordinate, who was also wearing black clothes and sunglasses, to take out a piece of paper from his hand and hand it to Viktor.
Viktor took the paper in confusion and then his expression changed after seeing the contents.
It was a printout of a computer screenshot. It displayed a mailbox interface, with an opened email at the center. The content was about intelligence transactions.
What shocked Viktor the most was that the content of the letter was written in his own tone. Some of the diction and details were exactly the same as his usual writing style.
The most irrefutable thing for virtual-novel.net was the address of the sending e-mail.
It was his e-mail address, stolen a few days ago!
“This is a conspiracy!” Viktor shouted almost as soon as virtual-novel.net saw the paper. “This is definitely a conspiracy! This email is a forgery and I didn’t write that! This address was stolen long ago. I don’t even know the password for this email address and I can’t log in at all!”
Jez smiled coldly. “Oh, really?”
Viktor’s heart turned cold. It was evident that Jez did not believe him.
“Are you doubting the CIA’ s ability? Okay, since you’re still so stubborn, I’ll allow you to die knowing the reason…”
“I see you also have a computer here. Didn’t your e-mail address get stolen and the password was changed? Then log in to the email address in front of me now. If you can prove it, then everything will be fine.”
Jez’s words gave Viktor a glimmer of hope again.
“Mr. Jez, you will see that I was wronged.”
Viktor turned on the computer with confidence and then entered the email before entering the password.
There was a confident smile on his lips.
One must know that just three hours ago, virtual-novel.net tried to log into his email, hoping for a miracle to happen. However, his attempts at changing his password were rejected every single time because virtual-novel.net tried too many times.
This incident once made virtual-novel.net extremely depressed, but now it was to become his life-saving straw.
“Look, there’s nothing I can do…”
The moment Viktor pressed the ‘login’ button, the smile on his face froze.
He thought to himself.
Damn it! I successfully logged in!
Damn you, hacker! Didn’t you tamper with my password and block my way to retrieve it? Why did you change it back?
Viktor looked at Jez slyly. “Mr. Jez, I think this is a misunderstanding…”
Although everything seemed irreparable, Viktor still wanted to struggle desperately.
“Misunderstanding? Didn’t you say your password was stolen? Then how can you log in? Or maybe…” A dangerous light appeared on Jez’s face, “Or maybe you’re just playing with me from the beginning?”
