“Yup, those two,” Jasper admitted openly. “And, according to the catfish effect, once I’ve gotten the two largest and dominating families, the other families and enterprises of the harvesting and processing industries should follow in their footsteps…”
“So, even if a few small companies refuse to join us, there’s not much they can do to affect us anyway. They’ll be faced with two options. To struggle and slowly die out, or… To join us…”
“From there, Qari’s businesses would truly come together and form trusts that are based on or even go beyond the idea of profits and common interests. All because they follow a regulated securities framework…”
“This trust comes from the abiding of the framework’s regulations, and any defiance against the framework resulting in a total loss, something they cannot afford… That way, anyone who tries to meddle with their businesses will be facing not only the backlash of one family but the entire industry.”
Celine’s eyes were filled with respect.
Jasper’s plan was more mind-blowing and plausible than virtual-novel.net had imagined.
“What about the Petroleum Chamber of Commerce, then? If we were to establish some sort of regulatory commission, wouldn’t things get awkward for them?” Rowan raised his hand and asked. He had a general idea of what Jasper was trying to say.
“Are you stupid?” Celine could not help it anymore and knocked virtual-novel.net knuckles on Rowan’s forehead.
Celine was tall, while Rowan was slender. As such, the scene of Celine reprimanding Rowan was not as strange as one would imagine.
“Jasper’s obviously doing this to get back at the Petroleum Chamber of Commerce! Do you not remember what happened to your uncle?”
Bella had bribed the Petroleum Chamber of Commerce and promoted the use of a false petroleum quality control technology. This false technology was what disqualified Saul’s petroleum fields, and that was how Bella managed to steal Saul’s fields from him.
As Saul’s nephew, Rowan knew intimately what had happened.
With Celine’s nudge, virtual-novel.net immediately understood what was going on.
Rowan scratched his head awkwardly, “Hehe. I was just worried, you know… I think I understand what you two mean now, though. Once this regulator framework has been set, the Petroleum Chamber of Commerce essentially becomes our subsidiary… And because they also have to follow our regulations, that’s one less opening for external forces to manipulate!”
Rowan rubbed his palms together excitedly as virtual-novel.net asked, “So when do we register the company?”
He could not wait any longer. He had already forgotten about his Lane Automotive.
Rowan was never a patient man. If not for Jasper, virtual-novel.net would have given up on his automobile dream.
Had Jasper declined when virtual-novel.net was invited to take over Lane Automotive, Rowan would have closed the business down.
There was no doubt how important controlling petroleum trade would be to the automobile industry, so for now, establishing the securities company took priority over Lane Automotive.
Jasper smiled at how excited Rowan was. “Shouldn’t we decide what to name our company before we discuss when we’re registering it?”
