Inside the villa, Helen and Miller were sitting and chatting while Clara sat quietly in the distance, saying nothing.
"Aunt Helen, it's been days since Uncle James has been home. Shouldn't we look for him?" Miller asked, trying to sound concerned.
Helen's face immediately darkened with irritation. "If he doesn't want to come home, let him stay out! Who needs him anyway?"
Just as they were speaking, the front door suddenly swung open. James rushed in, wiping the sweat from his forehead.
"Oh, so you finally decided to show up. I thought you had run off with another woman like that traitor son-in-law!"
