After searching around the place, Matthew found those plants as expected. Nevertheless, he didn't touch the plants. Instead, he slowly squatted down and observed his surroundings. Then, he took a small ceramic bottle out and poured some of the black powder from the bottle around the plant.

A while later, Matthew noticed the soil around the plant moving around as if something was about to crawl out. Holding his breath, he stared at the ground intently. About three minutes later, a centipede crawled out of the soil. The centipede wasn't large and was only about the length of a thumb. However, the centipede had a colorful appearance and looked more like a snake.

Right then, the centipede looked anxious as it moved around in the circles around the black powder that was circled around it. The centipede couldn’t crawl out of the black powder, and it seemed like the centipede was fearful of the black powder.

At this moment, Matthew took another ceramic bottle and opened a little opening around the black powder before placing the mouth of the ceramic bottle at the opening. Immediately, the centipede crawled over and entered the ceramic bottle. Then, Matthew quickly picked the ceramic bottle up, and the centipede was trapped in the ceramic bottle.

Nevertheless, Matthew didn‘t leave yet. instead. he took his pill furnace out and placed it on the ground. After that, he poured the centipede from the ceramic bottle into the pill furnace before pouring some powder into it as well. At this instance, the centipede looked as if it was burned and started thrashing around before an odd smell filled the air.
